Kazakhstan is the largest landlocked country in the world, and Mongolia, its neighbor to the east, is the most thinly populated country on Earth. Nepal has the only national flag that is not a rectangle. All three are in this grid, with 32 other countries from six continents. The list is meant to be awkward: 16 names end in A, and many share endings like IA, so the last letters will not help you much either. Every name can run across, down, diagonally, or backwards.
