About PrintFern

PrintFern is a small, independent site that makes free printable word search puzzles and monthly calendars. Every puzzle can be played online with a timer or downloaded as a clean PDF with an answer key, and every calendar prints on a single page.

We built PrintFern because so many free printable sites bury their puzzles under ads, watermarks, and signup walls. Our files have none of that. Teachers can photocopy a puzzle for a whole class, parents can print one for a road trip, and anyone can play online in a browser, on a phone, or on a tablet.

Every puzzle on the site is generated fresh and checked to be solvable, with words hidden across, down, diagonally, and backwards. We add new themes regularly across holidays, animals, science, geography, food, sports, and more.
