Amelia Earhart Word Search, free printable PDF preview

On 20 May 1932 Amelia Earhart took off from Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, and landed in a pasture in Northern Ireland about fifteen hours later, the first woman to fly SOLO across the ATLANTIC. Five years later, on 2 July 1937, she and her NAVIGATOR Fred Noonan disappeared over the PACIFIC while looking for tiny HOWLAND Island. This word find follows her life from her birthplace in KANSAS to that last flight.

Frequently asked questions

Was Amelia Earhart ever found?

No. Searches since 1937 have produced several theories, including a crash at sea near HOWLAND and a landing on Nikumaroro, but no wreck of her Lockheed ELECTRA has been confirmed.

What were the Ninety Nines?

A club for women pilots founded in 1929 and named for its 99 charter members. Earhart became its first president. It appears in the grid as NINETYNINES.
