Spanish Animals Word Search, free printable PDF preview

PEZ is a fish while it is still swimming; once it reaches the plate it becomes pescado, a split Spanish keeps and English does not. Around it sit the farmyard and the front room: CABALLO, VACA, CERDO and POLLO on one side, PERRO, GATO and CONEJO on the other.

Call it a spanish animals word find if that is the phrase you grew up with. The grid does not mind and the answer key still fits on one page.

Frequently asked questions

Why is raton spelled without the accent?

The grid uses plain A to Z letters, so raton appears without its accent. Written properly the word carries one on the final o.

Do these animal words change for a female animal?

The ones ending in o usually do: perro becomes perra, gato becomes gata. Pez and raton keep one form and take el or la in front instead.
