Ancient Greek had several words where English makes do with one: EROS for romantic desire, PHILIA for friendship, STORGE for family affection and AGAPE for selfless love. C. S. Lewis built his 1960 book The Four Loves around exactly those four. This word find hides them next to seven English words for the same feeling.
